Is there a device sold at auto parts stores that reads how much fuel is in your car?

My gas gauge doesn't work and I was told you can buy this device that reads how much fuel is in your car, I just don't know what its called. Thanks...Is there a device sold at auto parts stores that reads how much fuel is in your car?

there is no device. Your gauge doesnt work because your fuel sending unit is bad. You need to replace this. Tell them you need a new fuel sending unit. The one you get is dependent on model/year/make and they are not universal.Is there a device sold at auto parts stores that reads how much fuel is in your car?
Nothing but the factory fuel level sensor inside your fuel tank right now.
of course you can put a stick down into the tank and read that you have fuel-LOL
