Who makes the best octane booster bought @ auto parts stores?

There really aren't any great ones. They generally don't do much. If you dump a bottle of one into your tank of 87 octane, you might get 88 or 89 octane. If you dump it into 93 octane, you may not even get 94. Lucas oil makes the best one, as far as off the shelf stuff goes anyway. In most cases you won't see any benefit from it. The one time I have used that stuff was when someone accidentally filled my car ( which is tuned and requires 93 octane) with regular. I dumped a couple of bottles in and drove it carefully for the rest of the tank.
