An auto parts store exploded my battery when they charged it are they liable to replace the battery?

I took my battery to be tested at an auto parts store. They told me it need to be charged to test it and when they hooked it up to the charger it exploded. An auto parts store exploded my battery when they charged it are they liable to replace the battery?
No, blame Jesus.
Unless the problem was their charger then I doubt it. You might ask them for a discount on a new battery since it would be hard to say that the battery was not bad to begin with. You may be able to get maybe 5 to 10 off a new one.An auto parts store exploded my battery when they charged it are they liable to replace the battery?
OK, let's get this straight. You brought an already bad battery in to them and now you want them to pay for it?

The battery was already junk before you got it there. Healthy batteries don't burst. This one is on you.
I would think they should be.

Even IF they are not legally obligated, it would be better customer relations if they made good on it.

If they are a national chain, and they won't make it right, get hold of the corporate office. An auto parts store exploded my battery when they charged it are they liable to replace the battery?
dont know about the law in your area, but I should think that they would on basic fairness. If they wont, ask for the manager. I he won't keep going up the chain. If they still won't bad mouth them to everyone you know.
My personal experience has been they won't but you can ask. They know you arent going to take them to small claims court so they just d you over
Yea they would definitely be liable. And if not... it sounds like a reasonable lawsuit. If they tell you they won't replace it, then tell them you will sue. ( They might think twice)
They did something dumb, I think they are liable.
they should have to give you another battery
they probably are... but they will not do it. one of the great things about car repairs is you almost always get screwed.
