Then they say you need something you dont. Why do auto parts stores always try to sell you stuff you don't need?
This situation is actually prevalent in all sectors - home, garden, clothing, etc.
I have thought about this 'problem' for a while, too and I have come to this conclusion that every company wants your $$$. The more you spend with them, the more $$$ they make; which in turn means higher sales turnover, higher sales commission, higher revenue, and higher profits. Due to globalisation, the pie has actually gotten smaller so there is a great need to 'push' for sales.
Just don't get what you don't need. No need to feel that you are obliged to buy it.
;pWhy do auto parts stores always try to sell you stuff you don't need?
I don't think that they always do that, but, a lot of times, they know they're dealing with people who are knowledgeable enough to want to fix their own car problems, but, who may not know everything they need to do so. It's not confined to parts houses, though, surely you've been asked at the checkout counter at a grocery store, will that be all? Same thing..Why do auto parts stores always try to sell you stuff you don't need?
Many people are compulsive buyers.
Example; we not really need anything, but, we want to buy something. So, if someone can make a good suggestion, it helps in our decision.
True some may not understand or do this, but, this the same reason when we put fuel in our vehicle the "fuel pump" not only tell us how much the fuel will cost, it also scrolling things we can buy! ;-)
