I was told that you can't always buy parts for hyundai's at auto parts stores ; Is this true?

That's true for any brand - there will always be a lot of parts that are dealer-only - but Hyundai's are especially tough. I work at a shop and we deal with a dozen different parts stores and suppliers and still have problems getting even basic parts for Hyundai's like belts, air filters and brakes. Those are basic things which for other high-volume brands are usually no problem at all. It's not that we can't get the parts but sometimes it can take hours or even days.I was told that you can't always buy parts for hyundai's at auto parts stores ; Is this true?
It's true of every car. They don't offer every part of a car. This is much more of a problem for foreign cars (and a Hyundai is one) and it's also more of a problem when some new body style comes out and you're looking for some part that for whatever reason wouldn't be covered by the warranty.

But anyway, the important thing is that it's true of every car. Auto parts stores only offer certain parts of a car. What's available varies from one car to another.I was told that you can't always buy parts for hyundai's at auto parts stores ; Is this true?
NOT true, you can buy auto parts at auto parts stores for Hyundai's!

Now if you had a 1975 Maserati, you cant alway find parts for it at just any auto parts store.I was told that you can't always buy parts for hyundai's at auto parts stores ; Is this true?
No who told you that stupid story. Hyundai's have been by far the fastest growing market due to their cheap price, and I hardly doubt that part suppliers are not noticing it.
